Daniel Lofaro gave an invited speech Washington DC for the kickoff ceremony of National Robotics Week which was held on April 3 at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Over 100,000 people attended the museum that day. Lofaro’s lab (Lofaro Labs Robotics and DASL @George Mason University) providd hands on demonstrations to almost 1,000 visitors on four separate robots. Robots ranged from large humanoids with telepresence to small wheeled systems with unique localization techniques.
